The perfect racing simulation oriented game?25 Jul 2008 14:59 GMT5
In the real world, there are forces that a driver feels from the acceleration,
braking, cornering, or yawing (oversteer) that aren't present in a racing game.
Even without assists in the real world, a driver always has those forces that
can be felt and provide useful feedback.
GTR Evolution22 Jul 2008 21:30 GMT10
I found this on the SimBin site while I was looking at Race 07:

Fix for tapping sound in rFactor FBMW20 Jul 2008 05:53 GMT1
When the FBMW transitions into the high rpm sound, an annoying (to me)
tapping sound occurs. This zip contains the original and a replacement
file which elminates most of the tapping by  removing a bit less than
1/2 second from the beginning of the original sound.

IRacing - a rookies 3 week report16 Jul 2008 14:19 GMT2
In Sum: not bad, I'll continue supporting it
Me: I've been sim racing since sometime before GPL. I was also involved with
online aircombat sims going back to the $2/hour days so pay to play doesn't
bother me much. The question is always; do I receive value for my money? I'm

Let's discuss Grid16 Jul 2008 00:00 GMT12
I watched a video of Grid on youtube and it looks like it could be a fun
diversion from the hardcore sim reacing I usually get into. Anyone here
actually think it is a good game? Or is your glass only half empty like
mine usually is and you think it is arcade crap?
N2003 and Vista15 Jul 2008 05:34 GMT15
Hey all...I have a dual boot machine but I have tried everything to
get N2003 working properly in vista. I have the ultimate version. I
turned aero off, shut down DRM, indexing, you name it all the features
it prides itself on. GTR2 runs fine. In open gl I get full fps and all
rfactor cars similar to iRacing?14 Jul 2008 15:13 GMT1
What cars could I use in rfactor to simulate the Solstice and Skippy in
iRacing? I've never done much road racing and would like to do some practice
so when I get an invite for iRacing I can run the RC when the ovals aren't
running. I had back surgery this summer and won't be ...

rFactor problem, again!10 Jul 2008 19:38 GMT1
Ok, as Trymedia support is clueless (what a surprise! Last suggestion
was a link to the setup program. Thanks, I HAVE the sim installed,
dammit!) I used anybody's best friend: google and found a solution
that already worked for somebody in 2007.

rFactor 2 -> Trymedia in, sale lost!09 Jul 2008 06:56 GMT3
Holy crap!
Since yesterday evening, every time I start rFactor I get a stupid window
telling me that I have no internet connection (I do) or that there's a problem
with the website (probably) or that the address contains a typo (at least I didn't
