I know this is the wrong forum, but then again what better group to ask.  We
want to get my 9 year old a new game system this year.  We actually bought
the X box bundle for $219 last week.  I was just out at the mall and see the
same thing, so I was told for 179, none actually on ...

I better get it up here fast cause I'm sure I won't be leading for long and
I want to enjoy it as long as possible :-)

RASCAR Winter 2003 Trucks

I've been deprived of sim racing for about three years due to work and
other things, but that changed recently and I am now (almost) back in
business.  Bought a new PC with a video card, loaded GPL, installed
the patches, added some new tracks, downloaded the GPLEA cars,

My son wants a steering wheel for his X-box for xmas. As we also have a PS1, PS2, Dreamcast and PC.
(we have a wheel for the PC)
Is there a decent wheel that works on them all, or at least the X-Box and PS2?

I must be doing something wrong because I've just returned to GPL
after a few years off and my framerates are ridiculously low! I'm
getting 15FPS in 640x mode with everything set to minimum! D3D and
OpenGL are equally as awful.

After 2 hours, the past 30 minutes of it wet, the two Holden Monaro 427 c.i.
coupes are running 1st. (Steven Richards) & 3rd. (Peter Brock).
There's a bloody Ferrari in the sandwich! :)

I have bought Edimentional E-D glasses and now I try to decrease the
resolution in F12002, F1C and Nascar2002 to make them work. Although I
set the resolution to the lowest possible in these games it seems like
the graphic-card crank up the resolution when I start the games.

I just finished running the demo and found it doesn't allow L & R side
viewing from the cockpit.
I've always liked the feature and was wondering if the full version allows
it. Thanks for any info.

This being RAS I figured I could ask about a good office type chair for
racing. I don't care what it looks like. If it's straight out of an F1 car
or it looks like something an astronaut would use I don't care. So tell me
what you put under your a.s that keeps u racing until the wee ...

My monitor is going to die and I'm thinking of those 17" LCD.  Seems the
latest models are promising on specs but I'm concerning the refresh rate
not enough for car sims.  Any recommendations?

laps at Mosport and it looks like the cars are still using the Nascar bodies
for detection. I ran a few laps from the roof  and when I get close to a car
