Actually I think it was a legitimate question.  I've noticed there
still hasn't been a response, even though he's revisited the thread.

Perhaps he has no answers.  Arf, arf, arf.

I still have it. It's just another same old, same old, RTS game.
Gather and build and attack over their, zzzzz. There is no innovation
in this industry any more. It's just a rehash of sequels. If that is
enough to please you then have a it. I expect more though.

You have AOEIII? I borrowed it from a friend and I know it's crap. If
you've never played it then just STFU.

Got FEAR today (present from the kids).  So far I'm having a lot of fun.  AI
is excellent.  Graphics are great.  Not bored at all.  If you like this type
of game try Q4.  Great fun.

Knocking off from FEAR for an hour now for a few beers and I'll be trying
AOEIII later.  Last 18months or so have been great for gamers.

   Bleh.

I often find myself wondering why some people bother "gaming" at all.

Bleeding-edge graphics in some games are dismissed as "sucky graphics".

Great stories in some games are dismissed with "sucky story" comments.

Frighteningly competent AI in some games is dismissed by saying "sucky
AI".

Clearly these folks are never going to be happy with any product they
buy.  It's too bad for them, too, since most of the time it's their own
fault they're missing out:

Are they merely inclined to find fault with absolutely any game they
play?

Are they simply not equipped with a knowledge-base which allows them to
realize you can't play today's A-list games on yesterday's system, and still
have the experience the developer intended?

Do most of these amateur critics (the sort of mamalukes who go to
EBGames.com and Amazon.com and write reviews for games that haven't been
f-cking released yet:  "This game look so kEwL it will totully
rawk!!!!!!!!!!") even *know* the damn difference between a good or bad game
effort, in the first place?

Whatever.  I for one, enjoyed FEAR, HL2, Doom 3, Deus Ex 2, Thief 3,
etc., etc., and if you don't like it: lump it.

This is the year of boring FPS's. Apart from HL2 I felt the same as
you do about both Doom3 and Quake4. Next year I'm going to be very
selective about what games I do buy because I'm sick of wasting my
money on crap games. I demand a refund!

Its not scary to me. Dull yes, scary no !!!

I think iam nearly finished now. Amd iam just using GOD mode most of
the time when something even moderatly hardish comes up. I just cant
be bothered trying to beat i.

It all looks the same. the plot is just the same with different people
all though the game :(

All the battles are the same. The graphics and locations are the same.

Dont hate it. But its a bore. And i can realy say if i did not finish
it i would not care.

I vote this game as the worst game of 2005. Just becuase its so
boring. Not bad but boring is bad right ?

Oh well.
