I use FuBar, and its clock certainly does this.

What I would really like to see is an addon that changes the in game clock to not only display the server time, but also the local time for yourself. I play on a server 2 hours behind my local time, and when you enter instances and battlegrounds you can be popped off to servers in other time zones as well. Time can get a bit confusing here. Would be nice to know what the actual time is sometimes.
Of course, I could also probably try replacing the batteries in the desk clock I have sitting there as well.

I have things I need to always do (like get my kid off the bus) and it pops up a little note on the screen pretty strongly. Usually it pops up in front of anything Im doing but for WoW it pops up behind the game but has controls in the game. I have to click that part of the screen which drops the game to the bar, then I click to close the reminder, then click back into the game. I can also have it run something else like popping up a picture or playing a sound.
It has a ton of timer settings. Like once, every hour, or 2 or 4, just on weekdays, etc. I have popups for most of my chores and appointments.
The fact that its outside of WoW might be a good thing. If you start to rely on it like I do then it will continue to work for your next game also. http://www.softshape.com/software/desktop/chamclock/features/

Hi all, hope you are well.
An addon for in game note taking. even better in game reminders.
I know i could use a pen and pad, but i lack workspace. Buldars Gate used to have a notepad in game, but one with reminders would be fantastic, a popup to say 'transmute C/D finished in 5 mins' or 'get up and eat, you have not for 17 hours' etc etc
anyone know of one? or know a addon builder i could petition?
