What will be some of the triple-A Xbox titles for 2005?

I'm really looking forward to Mercenaries...

I believe it will be Forza Motorsport it is the equivelant of Gran Turismo
on the PS2. I also believe Unreal Championship 2 will be good.

Conker Live and Reloaded:  (Microsoft Game Studios)
Forza Motorsports:  If executed correctly, this could really be a
sleeper.  (Microsoft Game Studios)
Brothers in Arms:  (Ubisoft)
Star Wars Republic Commando:  Rainbow Six in the Star Wars Universe!
(Lucasarts)
Unreal Championship 2:  Bringing a knife to a gun-fight!  (Midway)
Close Combat: First To Fight:  Similar to Full Spectrum Warrior, but
with a 1st person perspective  (Globalstar)
Far Cry Instincts:  Nuff said!  (Ubisoft)
Jade Empire:  Karate + RPG + gore + Bioware = instant classic
(Bioware / Microsoft Game Studios)
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory;  Sam Fisher with a knife...drool!
(Ubisoft)
GTA San Andreas:  Rob, Kill, Murder, Have Sex!  (Rockstar)
Rainbow Six 4: Lockdown:  Ok, I like to shoot... so what!  (Ubisoft)
Starcraft Ghost:  Finally!  (Blizzard)

Only a few of these games will probably be AAA title, but I believe
that they all have a shot.  I think that only two of the above
mentioned are sure-fire AAA titles (Conker and Jade Empire).  If SC:
Chaos Theory can hold a decent frame rate, the online co-op will make
it a contender for GOTY.

To me this looks like the first platformer with graphics to equal some FPS
and RPG games...

> Forza Motorsports:  If executed correctly, this could really be a

It could be dangerously similar to PGR1 and 2...

> Brothers in Arms:  (Ubisoft)

Yeah, when a developer says their game will be GOTY before the game is
released and before the *year, you know they think they have something
pretty spectacular. Me, I think it could be way too similar to Call of
Duty...

> Star Wars Republic Commando:  Rainbow Six in the Star Wars Universe!
> (Lucasarts)

My pick, only because all the gameplay movies make it seem like there is a
*story for once in a Star Wars Xbox game. I love the opening sequences that
were posted on Gamespot that hint at a Halo 1 style intro...

> Unreal Championship 2:  Bringing a knife to a gun-fight!  (Midway)

I know everyone is still into Unreal (on PC, UT is getting GOTY) but I've
moved on big time...

> Close Combat: First To Fight:  Similar to Full Spectrum Warrior, but
> with a 1st person perspective  (Globalstar)

Name the last Globalstar game that rocked your world?

> Far Cry Instincts:  Nuff said!  (Ubisoft)

Maybe, but it looks more like what Ubisoft did with Rainbow Six for Xbox. I
played the entire single player campaign on PC and lots and lots of hours in
multiplayer, and I kept having major deja vu with the graphics they recycled
for the Xbox version.

> Jade Empire:  Karate + RPG + gore + Bioware = instant classic
> (Bioware / Microsoft Game Studios)

Yup, a game that could trump some of the Japanese RPGs.

> Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory;  Sam Fisher with a knife...drool!
> (Ubisoft)

Probably the game I'm looking forward to the most, only because I'm a
serious SC fan and think this game is going to get the Riddick graphics
treatment...

> GTA San Andreas:  Rob, Kill, Murder, Have Sex!  (Rockstar)

Not my genre...

> Rainbow Six 4: Lockdown:  Ok, I like to shoot... so what!  (Ubisoft)

A big maybe...

> Starcraft Ghost:  Finally!  (Blizzard)

If it comes out. We all know everything Blizzard does turns golden, except
of course for Diablo 2.

Let's be honest, nothing on the Xbox in 2005 will come close to approaching
the greatness of the upcoming PSP.

I hope that was a deliberate pardody of yourself, otherwise you're leaking
Sony semen out of your torn and swollen rectum by now. When Madden comes out
on the PSP, are you going to try to actually f.ck the game? Like, literally?
Stick your dick in the UMD slot maybe?

Based on Skye's last two replies in this thread he's obviously trolling.
Just because he 's a regular in this newsgroup doesn't mean he won't troll
once in while.  I know it's hard but we can't feed them, even though they
makes us laugh.

You gotta love it when you're such an EA/Sony felcher that your trolling is
completely indistinguishable from your usual spooging and fawning. The only
way you could have parodied yourself more successfully would have been by
working in a Burnout 3 reference.

I can't see how it will outclass Jade Empire.  FM may be very good but Jade
Empire will be the shiznit.  My prediction for GOTY

Haven't followed too much regarding Jade Empire, but I did enjoy my last
two racing obsessions on the Xbox, PGR 2 and ToCA Race Driver 2.

Just the sheer scope of what they're trying to accomplish with FORZA is
intriguing. A huge database of tracks and vehicles, along with almost
limitless tuning and exterior customization. Think of online competition
for the usual points, as well as racing for actual pink slips! If they
can pull off even half this stuff, my racing team's garage will be
awesome and fully tricked out.

From what I've read, they are really going over this one with the finest
of fine-tooth combs to insure it's bug-free and also free of exploitable
glitches online. They keep rigorously beta-testing the thing to find
problems, then go back to the board to fix any they find. That's why the
game keeps getting delayed.

I'm willing to wait for a great enough experience, as this may turn out
to be.

The demo of FM sucked monkey a.s. Most likely indicative of why it got
delayed yet again. Hopefully they fix it.

Maybe you are just talentless, It is a difficult game. But I suppose if you
want to stick to sub-par racing games that take less talent like
NFS:Underground or Burnout 3...

In golf scoring, subpar is good so I'll take it as a compliment, seeing as
the only EA game I play is Tiger Woods.

I've contemplated this question at length. With thought,
care and consideration of all that I can find on what is
coming out in the next year and I've come to a simple
conclusion with a very short list of Biggest and BEST games
of 2005.

They are IMO

Snooker

Pinnochle

Whist

Craps

Dominoes...not sure if "Moon" or "42" will be the winner
there.

Marbles

and

Wait for it

Wait

Charades!

I've started dialing down expectations since the cancellation so
I'll hopefully enjoy it without the heightened expectations of being a
classic Lucasarts fanboy.

Jade Empire is my most anticipated game for 2005.

I am holding out small hopes that Kameo will be big fun; I'm
sure it'll be pretty and interesting.  (It's not cancelled, is it?)
