Help - Unable to change time setting on Xbox 360

Hi,

I've recently received my 360 back from repair and all seems well. I've been
into the dashboard and reset all my settings again with one exception.

When I go in to the 'Console settings' blade section I can change my locale
to the UK and set what type of clock, 12 or 24 hour readout etc. However,
the time and date field are greyed out and not available to select. Although
the date has set itself correctly the time is one hour slow. This isn't a
big deal, but I'd like to put it right.

Is there a reason why it's not selectable or am I missing something?  I'd
not noticed this prior to sending it off, and the time was always right.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
ChugMonkey

Time autosyncs to the Live clock, which is GMT, an hour off our time.
I'm not sure if this can be disabled.

there is an option for it somewhere on there.
I can't say the exact location because my xbox is awaiting collection.

"When connected to Xbox LIVE, the clock is set automatically and can't be changed."  I assume this is
because of DLC like movies which can only be kept for a limited time.

You can change it so that its not automatically set and then change the gmt
setting.  It should keep proper time when you change it back to
automatically set.

Is Daylight Saving set to On?  Think it's the thrid option in Date & Time
settings

That doesn't work.  Mine is set on and the clock is still an hour slow.

Try setting it to "Off", turn the XBox off and back on and then set is back
to "On" and turn the XBox off and On again
Also, if you have a PC, is the time correct?

I had this problem and the 1 hour time difference prevented me from being
able to enter a tournament that I'd qualified for.
I tried a combination of disconnecting the hard drive and not signing in to
my profile or xbox live and making sure the console was not physically
connected to the internet.
Then I re-attached the hard drive & signed into my profile (still
disconnected from the internet) to make sure the time was still alright,
then re-connected the network cable.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I found that if I changed my profile to NOT auto sign-in, then rebooted,
this then allows you to reset the clock to the correct time.

You then just need to switch it back to auto sign-in to Xbox Live. After
rebooting again the time remained the same as I'd set it manually.

Hope this helps the others that had the same difficulties.

Cheers,
