Weird 50Hz thing via component

This is odd....

Had my 360 set up via RGB SCART at 60Hz.

Bought new TV, plugged in component lead in HD mode and set 360 to 1080p
mode. When I do this it asks me if the picture displays correctly at 50Hz
(which it does). Then theer are no options to switch to 60Hz.
Weirdly PGR4 says 60Hz only on the back but works fine.

Am I doing something stoopidly wrong?

No it's all normal.

the 60hz warning boxes only really apply to SD connections, HD
resolutions are the same refresh rate the world over, so i wouldn't
worry.

with most games I'd agree - they just work but Hitman wouldn't even think
about loading, insisting on a 60Hz refresh rate.

thats a bug in the software.

a few games do that, the outfit being one of them that i can recall
off the top of my head.

that comes about if you have the SD settings set at 50hz, and has
nothing to do with the HD refresh rates.

for some reason the game sees your SD settings even though you're
running in HD.

This should have been fixed in the first patch for both of those games,
though I guess if it won't start it probably won't get to the download the
patch operation.

Just set up the 360 in SD mode via composite/Scart, change it to 60hz
and then go back to HD, I had the problem with the Outfit demo, that
fixed it...
