To the best of my knowledge, Pokémon have always been limited to four
known moves max in all of the video games released to date. However, I
do not think that the Pokémon in the TV series have such a limitation
(I might be mistaken on that) which seems to add more variety to the
battles. So ...
Do you think it would be better, worse, or the same if the number of
memorized moves for each Pokémon was raised up higher, maybe to six
(or even more), in future video games?
I have been playing through LG recently for the first time in months,
and I still find myself often being indecisive about whether I should
"delete a move" in order to learn a new one upon leveling. Also, I
tend to be hesitant about teaching HM moves to Pokémon earlier in the
game (when they might be more useful in battle) because of the
difficulty of deleting them later on. It would be nice to have some
extra slots to keep around those interesting, non-damaging moves that
only come in handy once every 100 battles, too.

I think it would give more advantages to you and your foe. But as always its
depends what moves you have, no matter how many moves you may have, there is
a way to beat your opponent if a good move set is not at hands.

Actually, I don't think Pokemon have that limitation in Pokemon Mystery
Dungeon. However, you can't directly control anyone except yourself.

I'm looking forward to playing the Mystery Dungon games. I'm just
curious as to how inconvenient it will be to deal with the pokémon
hunger thing a la the classic game Gauntlet. I suppose it has always
been assumed that trainers feed their pokémon in the other games, so
it was never mentioned ...

Well, some Pokemon learn so few good moves that it's kind of tough to
even pick four. Also, if more move slots were added, Gengar would
become a bit more of a pain to deal with.
