This is looking very, very bad for the xflop 3-shitty. Developers are
starting to cancel holiday games for the xflop 3-shitty port-box while
keeping them for the PS2. THQ has canceled the release of The Sopranos
for Xbox 360, an action game based on the popular TV drama series from
HBO. The reason is that the game would not look much better than the
PS2 version, therefore the development is now focused on the PS2
version instead. Of course, this means they can still be played on the
PS3 just fine. There is word more xflop 3-shitty games are being
canceled before the end of the year.

THQ cancels Raw vs Smackdown 07 on PS3, XBOX 360 will still be released.

Yeah but common sense he posted the Sopranos, and Scarface posts about 360
using developers in response to someone posting that the PS3 is losing
developers and citing Smackdown.  You reposting that makes no sense because
everyone already knew Smackdown was cancelled from the earlier troll post
that this troll was responding to.

No, I think the real reason is that THQ isn't exactly full of money, and
they can't afford to spend a lot on developing a costly version of a pretty
crappy game.

I mean, used to be, if you did a PS2 version, you could use the same art and
assets for both the Xbox and GC versions (and PSP, for that matter).
Presumably you could share art and such between a PS3 and 360 version, but
they weren't doing a PS3 version.

Then by your own logic it is obviously looking very very bad for the ps3...

Endless Saga Cancelled
"We have recently decided to cancel the Endless Saga project. Endless Saga
was one of our ambitious development projects to enter into the next
generation console market. However, after some rigorous development effort,
we found the gameplay of Endless Saga to be short of innovation and
creativity we seek to achieve in online gaming space."

Another PS3 Game Cancelled
THQ has announced on its official German forums that the PS3 version of WWE
Smackdown vs. Raw 07 has been cancelled. The PS3 version was scrapped
because, as THQ puts it, "the development team would rather concentrate
their resources on the three other platforms".

Theseis Cancelled for PS3 - Development too Costly
PS3Land.com received a statement from Track 7 Games who is working on the
development of a next-gen game called Theseis. Apparently Track7 is
cancelling the PS3 version of the game due too exceptionally high
development costs involved for the PS3, however the PC and XBox 360 versions
are still on track.

Fear & Respect
Originally planned for PS2 and Xbox, the title's focus was later pushed
towards next-gen consoles before being cancelled in 2006.

"There is word"?  Hopefully it's not from the same source you were using
when you argued with everyone on this group that the PS3 would be released
spring 2006.  Seriously until you know exactly what game or games are being
cancelled you're talking out of your a.s.

Endless Saga was TOTALLY CANCELED for ALL VERSIONS. Try to pay
attention,dweeb.

xflop 3-shitty port-box is getting the PS2 version. Smackdown vs. Raw
for PS3 has been POSTPONED, NOT CANCELED. Read the news, ignoramus.

"Consistent with our goal of delivering the highest quality content
across all next-gen platforms, we have decided to postpone the debut of
the SmackDown series on PlayStation 3 until the holiday 2007
timeframe."

> Theseis Cancelled for PS3 - Development too Costly

Theseis was NEVER BEING DEVELOPED for the PS3. If you read the
follow-up, the developer said they were joking about the PS3 version,
meaning they would be glad to work on it if Sony gave them a call.

So what, the entire game was canceled. Entire games are being canceled
all the time. What does that have to do with anything, ratbrain?  It
sounds like you have been eating from your a.s because all you are
spewing is sh.t.

Wrong, 07 is cancelled, read the news.  But future games of the series
will be released.

Another example that the PS3 will most likely inherit PS2's notorious
recognition for being a very difficult platform for developers.

Do you cut and paste your lunatic Xbox ravings from 2002, or is it just
coincidence they sound exactly the same?

LOL. What a blow. That was a system seller right there.

Thanks for the background grandpa. You actually had no idea what The
Sopranos was before you looked it up, did you?

LOL, the Bliggy formula for posting success: 1) Introduce an inconsequential
tidbit of information. 2) Follow it up with an absolutely fabricated
"reason" for the development. 3) Run and hide from the hailstorm of
spankings.

Two games cancelled compared to PS3's seemingly never-ending line of
cancellations is nothing.
Spaceman - 30 Jul 2006 15:29 GMT
LOL, this is because they know that no 360 owner wants a f.cking piece of
sh.t PSshitty port on their next-gen machine!!

The Sopranos cancelation has NOTHING to do with the 360 itself, it only
has to do with THQ's limited resources for creating a next-gen game.
Plus, how can you consider this a major blow to the 360 when a PS3
version of the Sopranos was not even being considered?  And don't come
back and say "but the PS2 version will run on the PS3".  That type of
thinking is going to kill the PS3 if game companies are thinking the
same way.
HidariMak - 30 Jul 2006 16:23 GMT
How often does TH-Q actually release a game worth owning and playing?

Also, if the game were originally being developed for just one console,
it might suggest that the developers were working with the strengths of
that one console.  But what Sopranos is is a title that was developed
around multiple formats, before having every format but the weakest one
with the largest number of owners (the same target market for
shovelware) cancelled.

So the 360 isn't getting a game which the PS3 isn't getting.  Aside
from the top of bliggy's dunce cap, where was the point of this message?
