it's either for the PC-based SEGA Lindbergh hardware or the Xbox-based
SEGA Chihiro hardware, but it looks more like an Chihiro-Xbox game, and
less like a Lindbergh game.

but anyway, maybe OutRun2 SP SDX will make its way to the Xbox 360 and
PS3.

Christ, another one!? What's kind-of different about it this time?

You can choose a straight couple or gay couple to be in the car.

You know, I'd almost guess that this is Sega's attempt to get Outrun 2
on the 360 as MS's BC team can't seem to do it on their own. Shame be
unto thou MS for your underwelming "list" of BC titles...

Why don't they just open up the testing to the public!? Let people who
want to be part of the  program, join up and start testing out titles.
Instead of 7 to 10 per update, we'd start seeing 15 to 30, I'd bet.

Man, I wish I could sit besides one of those booth babes.  They look
gorgeous.  I guess the main difference this time around is the ability
to switch drivers.  Other than that, I doubt any significant changes.

Kikizo has more info on OutRun2 SP SDX

http://games.kikizo.com/news/200607/107_p1.asp

though I kinda doubt the part about HD-resolution is true, going by the
screenshots. Even though it's running on the Lindbergh board which is
conciderably more powerful than the Xbox-based Chihiro board,  they're
not taking advantage of Lindbergh's power -- it looks Chihiro-Xbox
level.

HD in the arcade wouldn't matter much, I doubt most people would notice
it anyway. If it hits the 360 though, it'll be mandatory that it'll be
in a minimum resolution of at least 720p(and that's MS talking, not
me).
