Cutesy wootsy games give me a rash. It's not because they're typically nonviolent, I don't have a problem with that. Rather, because the artistic style is so often homogenous. It's like if it isn't gonna be violent, it has to be Sesame Street, and the same kind of Sesame Street that everyone else does. Don't get me wrong, I love Sesame Street, but not all the bloody time! It's like some a.shole at Walmart decreed, "Thou Shalt Make Harmless, Innocuous, Inoffensive, Unthreatening, Dumbed Down Games." Ok, who else wants to rant about cutesy wootsy games? Give the Sims some guns and bad attitudes and > then we might have something. You hate The Sims? That is one of the coolest games ever, especially with the Unleashed expansion pack. I only wish your Sims could have "credit", credit cards, bank loans, etc. That way you could buy more stuff. In real life people can buy more than they have in cash (one thing you can do is buy up art, it appreciates over time, in the game). I install burglar alarms in my houses early in the game . I wouldn't mind having a game with cutesy wootsy characters paraded in front of me all the time, just as long as I get to kill them all in cruel and unusual ways. but personally I have managed to avoid any games that are designed too cute, except the original Sims, and that lasted a week before I uninstalled it. and it was only the nude patch that kept me that long. SignatureComputers are machines to help you solve problems you wouldn't have if you didn't have a computer.
