Where do you see this? I read the TTLG, eidos and ion storm forums daily
and I can't find anywhere that specifically states that there will be no
demo...

Two best demos ever were the nice level samples of "Thief 2" and "Deus
Ex". It's truly a shame not be able to try out the "Thief 3" engine.
I'm sure it will work better than the horrifyingly slow "Invisible
War", though.
