I wish you farmers would just die already. You are ruining the realm
economies.

No worries, they will die slowly with TBC out, money is no object.
That or they will have to lower their prices to close to nothing.

I know a few who have made 50g an hour in TBC. I am sure more is
possible.

I'm pretty sure that it will only change the Warcraft Gold : Real Money
ratio. Things like the AH house and extremely rare drops (which are
almost certainly there) will make sure that Gold remains useful.

I so hope youre wrong, but I know it is futile to fight the army of
bots and goldsellers.

I know that Blizzard ban thousands of accounts now and then, but I
still think it would have a bigger impact if they banned the accounts
as soon as they have established that they were bots, goldsellers,
whatever.

It's probably true that it will never be stamped out. These people will just
create a new account. If it gets banned, big deal. Start another account.
They can't ban IP address in this case because alot of China plays WoW from
internet cafes. That's alot of money that Blizzard would be losing just from
banning an IP address. Sadly I don't know of another way to stop them apart
from banning any account that accepts gold from gold traders. That should be
fairly easy to trace through their databases I would imagine.
