Hello,

I have a lvl 17 horde priest grinding in Silverpine Forest.  I was
curious, where's the next place that he should go? I'm totally new to
the horde so I haven't figured out the natural progression.  He's
currently inn'd at The Sepulcher but I've pretty much tried up all the
quests there and I"m looking for the next inn where he can pick up new
quests for him to tackle.

Thanks.

I took my undead rogue to the Barrens at about that level.  (On my server
chat hasn't been too bad, but there also aren't crowds of other players.)  I
guess I prefer killing bristlebacks to yet more worgs.

If you just do your quests in Silverpine Forest they'll point you to
Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad Foothills which will then point you to
Alterac Mountains and Arathi Highlands at the appropriate level.

The other option is the Barrens which will then give you pointers to
Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale.

I would not advise going to Tarren Mill until you're at least
20/21.......the first quest you get there will be killing bears which are
lvl 21.  The Barrens are your best bet.  Just ignore the general moronic
chat...........

while i wouls also advise against TM at 17, I'd not go to the Barrens.
I'd go to Ghostlands and do some of the blood elf quests from Tranquilien.

I second the Ghostlands.  The quest rewards for the later part of the
Eversong Woods and Ghostlands are *so* much better.

Thanks for the advice.  I know how to get to the Barrens but about
the Ghostlands

Fly from the Sepulcher  to the Undercity.  Above the Undercity, in the
Ruins of Lordaeron, is a teleport that takes you to Silvermoon City.
South of Silvermoon, in the next zone is the Ghostlands.

I don't remember any particularly good quest rewards in the tier 1 Blood
Elf zone Eversong Woods, but the tier 2 Blood Elf zone The Ghostlands
has some very good quest rewards. At least for a Mage, but I'm sure that
the alternative rewards are good for other character classes as well.

They are some decent rewards for other characters such as hunters and
paladins.
He can look at this site which has a listing of all the quests and
their rewards for any given zone:

Made it to the Ghostlands last night and was able to knock out a few
quests. Good rewards indeed.  I was able to upgrade in just an hour,
two articles of clothing.  I also really like the environment.  Great
atmosphere.  Heck, I even met a really cool hunter and we did an
escort quest out of the mummy tome.  He tried to give me freakin' 5
gold pieces but I had to refuse.  Way to generous.  He did offer up 4
armor upgrade kits and I gladly took them to pump up my cloth armor
rating by 8.   I was just glad to get the quest reward and
experience.  So far, my experience in the new location has been quite
good.  I did a few times but that's not usual for me!

Thanks for the info and suggestions.

Those are the "6 slot bags" of leather workers. They're used to skill up LW
so they're essentially trash that you try to get rid of.

LW often goes with skinning. The best way to thank a skinner/LW is to
holler on general chat when you're about to kill a bunch of skinnable mobs.
Give coords so they can move in and clean up behind you. And loot all mobs
clean, even if you toss the results on the ground, so the skinners can do
their job. (I did this the other day in Felwood when I was grinding bears
for flank meat to skill up cooking. A nice skinner swept up all the bear
carcasses for me.)

The Tranquillien quartermaster has a really nice cloak once you hit
exhalted, and it's easy to do that just by doing all the quests in
Ghostlands.
