Assuming you got it installed correctly it's on "help->about".
It isn't generated until you first type in the product key from
the dvd case.

FSX installed ok with Microsft tech on the line; no Help button appears ??????

I don't have FS X, but on all the prior versions Help|About was
available as the last item on the standard Windows menu bar (between the
title bar and the main window pane). when operating full screen it was
necessary to press the ALT key first.

I was also looking for the PID for support email.  There's no menu on FSX
(which also means there's no obvious way to check the version).
