im having some major dramas re installing fsx deluxe

ive have uninstalled both accel and fsx via and the control panel,
and ive also removed all the addons via the same method

when i insert dvd1 i get this message in a pop up
" this path package could not be opened verify that the patch package exists
and that you can access it, or contact vendor to verify that is a vaild
installer package. G:\microsoft flight simulator X.msi"

i have removed all products via control panel and no product is listed.

when i do a system restore it restores fsx and when i run it its say im am
missing bgls, so when i stick in dvd1 it fails to reinstall and gives me the
message above, and when i try the accel dvd it repairs then fails on start up
saying im a still missing certain bgls which bring me back to square one. so
i  remove fsx via control panel and start all over again with the patch popup

im running xp home sp2
                   quad q6600
                   3.5gb ram
