SP1 failes on FSX standard edition

Hope anyone has an answer for me, and that i dont annoy peiople by asking the
same question hundreds did before but I can find on the forum :)

I installed fsx I got with my new computer ( i have the two dvd's )

It works nicely (very i must say) but asked for the install of the update sp1.
I downloaded it but it starts ok but ends with the message to go to the
support site because it didnt finish allright. But there i can find anything
that explains this.

some info

dual 3.4gb machine with 2.5Gb memory and over 100gb free on disk
Windows ultimate. Since my machine crashed the day before i installed fsx
its a fresh installation

Just fsx installed no add ons...... yet :p

Hope you have suggesttions

What is the exact error message at the end of SP1 installation?

Hello,

Thanks for your reaction. The weird thing was that it wasnt a real error
message, just saying that the installation wasnt finished. And when starting
the game it would just say to install sp1.

Finally its solved now. I closed all security and scanners, rebooted, and
now it installs. So it must have been one of those programmas i guess.

Again Thanks for the attention. And its a great game so maybe we meet in air

Good to know you now installed SP1, thanks for following up. Make sure
to check SP2 out as well at
