I recently installed a second HD and have tried to uninstall my current FSX.
Now when I run the setup DVD (Disk 1) it only gives me 2 options: Repair or
Remove. When I chose either of these options I get the following error:
1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.
Clearly Setup thinks FSX is installed, and Windows thinks it isn't. I hope
someone can help me convince it that FSX is no longer installed so that I get
an install option when I run Setup.
While I can't speak to your situation, I have had simular issues in the past.
When I did I used this utiltiy to solve the issue. If it works for you,
please post so here for the benifit of others

Thanks Vince. I have already tried the Installer Cleanup Utility, but
unfortunately it didn't help my situation this time.
