Sometimes I felt it best just to take the Hunters out with a rocket
launcher. Grenades weaken them a lot and an overcharged plasma pistol or
shotgun will usually finish them off with a few shots after a grenade or
two. You don't want to be wasting your shots on their shield. Before
encountering them I made sure I could retreat as much as I needed to with no
left-over nasties behind me.

You can kill Hunters pretty easily by hitting them in any orange/red areas
(back, belly, throat). If you're smooth enough, you can do it with the
pistol -- there's a reason they give you one at the top of the hill in
Silent Cartographer. Just watch out for the fuel rods coming your way.
The Elite -- especially on Legendary -- are far tougher for me.
Dan, can you remember how to get out of level 3 Truth and Reconciliation?
Thanks,
Tom
