I am attempting to run my own halo server. Basically it runs fine
unless I do two things:

1) login to it myself.  in this case either

#1. It doesn't allow me to login.  It keeps saying, "re-trying server
1...2....3."  Sometimes it does let me login: very strange how
sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

#2. It allows me to login but boots the other players off.   That's
aggravating.

2) If, after a certain period of time I press a button on halo console
(haloded), it boots the players off.

Any suggestions here would be appreciated!

Are you trying to log on from another computer on the same
network as the server? You might be having a port conflict.
Go to network settings on the non-server computer and change
the port.
