Halo: Combat Evolved cheats not working?

Hallo!

I'm running Halo 1: Combat Evolved on my PC and am trying to get the
-console -devmode cheats to work. I can get the console to open but
whenever I type something it it says that it's not available. I'm not
playing online, just the canned game.

Any ideas?

I've heard that there are no cheats for the PC version of Halo.
Are you sure that the cheat codes you found aren't for XBox?

There are cheats ???

I know of a few oddities within the game but nothing I would class as a cheat.

What the OP is trying to do is for Halo: _Custom Edition_.

Those options aren't for the standard game. They're for the Custom
Edition that you can download for the PC.
