Microsoft didn't write it, Bungie did.  Microsoft marketed the PC version 2
years after it was released on XBox.

not bungie, gearbox.
the bungie guys got the choice, start on halo2 or do the pc version.

the code got outsourced to gearbox who (simple version) wrapped the xbox i/o
and video calls with directx.

We're really both correct, I stated that Bungie wrote it, which they did.
Gearbox ported it to PC, so perhaps they bear some of the blame for the OP's
rage.  Comparison of the XBox game to the PC game will reveal who was
responsible for what in terms of the OP's complaint... for example, ugly
rediculous maps are Bungie's issue, "dirty buggy" is probably more Gearbox
depending what he means by that.

I also stated that Microsoft marketed it, which they did.  But MS definately
did not write it, the code or the i/o wrapper port, so really the OP's
blasting of MS is not really warranted.

I wonder who the OP blames for his defective keyboard, upon which the
exclamation mark key appears to repeat a random number of times at the end
of every sentence?
