Hello Cruel World,

What's the best way to take on the flood
they seem to move like greased lightning.

Also,
Microsoft needs to provide a No-CD patch for their games.
Fumbling with the CD all the time increases the
possibility of wear and tear on your CD drive and
damaging the CD itself. No one is going to dictate
the manner which I use my own machine.

Yeah, but that would also increase the likelihood of someone installing it
using a friends cd, and then not ever needing the cd again - essentially
piracy.
I understand what you're saying, but the very reason that most games
require you to insert the cd to play is to ensure that you've got an actual
cd - it's about the most basic form of copy protection there is.

What do you mean "don't confuse fantasy with reality"?
We both know normal rules don't apply to me

I was lucky enough to find a no-CD patch and it works fine now.
I do not care what the manufactures think because I am
50 years old and on my last legs, what are they going to do
give me the electric chair or something like that, such a thing
would only be a blessing and not a curse.
Now if they sicked the flood on me that would be another story.

Use the flashlight, is will show them down when they jump and swing there
tenticals at you.  Also I like to use a shotgun AR combo, use the shotgun on
the infected marines, elites, ect.  And on the spores just blast a group of
them with the AR.  But dont use the AR on any one else unless you have too,
it is innacurate and will take a long time to kill all the infected flood

It seems if you try to make a run for it and get by them
they gang up on you and you got to kill them only
a inch by inch, step by step.
Also they can hear you. If you make any noise they are
attracted to you.
Also if they see you they will also attack.
For dumb creatures they sure are hard to deal with.
They are like a bunch of Marines, once they get wind of you
there is no stopping them short of dying.
I have a 1GHZ machine maybe that is too slow to
properly play this game.

no stopping them short of dying.
I have a 1GHZ machine maybe that is too slow to
properly play this game.

Set it at 800 x 600 and see if that helps
Turn on VSYNC and set the refresh as high as it will go in the video
settings
Indoors is where Halo bogs the most
it is not optimized for crap for a PC or at least a PC that does not have a
direct x 9 video card ( the $$ ones ) and a fast CPU
I have a system with 1 gig of PC2700 ram, barton core Athalon XP 2800 which
is as good as a pent 4  - 3 gig CPU on my benchmarks
And hte video is a ti4200 by nvidia and it is just not the system but the
SOFTWARE
I hpe they patch it so it works better with most video cards but there is no
way my system is too slow yet Halo at high settings bogs on me
I havfe the new max payne and every video settingis as high as it can go,
res is maxed out and there is NO lag or slowness and the graphics on MP are
as good as it gets.......but Halo bogs.hum.......
lol
Microsoft suks we all know that and this just proves it when other games
play just fine
