Anyone play Natural Selection ?

As well as my recent foray into linux, i'm a long-term addict of NS -
the thing is, I suffer from regular crashes, some (most) to the extent
I have to force the machine to power down.

No-one else seems to have the problem, but it's dogged me across 3 PCs
and several graphics cards, and i've yet to find a common factor other
than it doesn't like me :-}

Anyone else get semi-regular, sometimes repeatable crashes ?

In NS, one that i've seen happen a few times now is when I drop
equipment, i.e. an observatory (it's basically just a building /
structure, not sure if other mods use this sort of gameplay "device")
- I just get stuck in a sound loop and have to force a reboot.
