Anyone play this lately? I downloaded it to play through it again but it
will not work with steam. It loads into a directory but there is no HL
executable file. Hoping someone can help.

There's a discussion here on how to manually install hlmods in Steam

Have you tried loading it the "old fashioned" way? By that, I mean,
adding it as a subdirectory of the ..\Steam\SteamApps\<my steam
id>\half-life\ folder, and running hl.exe from Steam with the the
command line switch -game <my mod name>

Ben,
Yes, this works.
I added a new icon for Half life in steam and pointed it to the HL folder.
Added the switch "-game redemption" to the launch options and it works fine.

I remembered playing thru a level with a carnival so I played thru hl, opp
for, and blue shift and never saw it.
Thought I was losing my mind for a while. I will run thru it again for old
times sake.
