Hi all,

I have only play the original demo. Can one still buy the original HL2?
If there such a thing. I suppose it would only be available via ebay?

Do you mean the original Half-Life?  The original HL2, Half-Life 2... is
Half-Life 2.  You can get all of Valve's games via Steam.
Half-Life $9.95:

Half-Life 2 $19.95:

HL2 (and all Valve games subsequently released after HL2) requires
online authentication over Steam - so never, ever buy a copy from ebay.

I think you would be better buying the Orange Box, for value for money.
First off, go to

www.steampowered.com

and set up an account there.

Nope, never have been, and probably never will be either.    As Carl
suggested, the HL2 Orange Box is good value for money if you don't
already own HL2 - it comes with two additional HL2 episodes (each of
which are several hours long), plus Portal (A really really cool game)
and TF2 (which is a multiplayer mod/addon).
