Hay,it seems to work! Thanks a million friend.
I'll give it a good workout this evening.

I don't think that's going to work in this case Fodder. Legion, the
problem is basically that your AI is getting old. Half-Life 2 is not as
spritely and young a game these days as it was on first release.
Previously, the saws and other creatures used to just buzz around the
level like hyperactive children, waiting for something to do. But now
they've matured a bit, they've less energy and they're waiting for
someone to tell them where to go.
Played Half-Life 1 recently? Graphics weren't as hot as you remember I
bet? Thats because that version's been out so long Gordon's got old, and
his sight's beginning to give. In HL2 they gave him stronger glasses but
in HL1 he's still got the clapped out old pair so everything's not as
sharp as it should be. Notice too that he gets tired more easily. In
fact, occasionally you'll notice him breaking out the crowbar and using
it as a walking stick. And on my version, after killing the three
headbanging giraffes he publicly declares himself "shagged out" and
pauses the game while he goes for a nice cup of tea and a sit down.
So what can you do about it to make HL2 playable again? Well, actually
its really not very tricky. You need to give the bad guys some whiskey,
or other hard spirits of their choice. (I understand that Striders are
killer for a bit of vodka.) While I'm sure you'll find the game easier
than you remember, the enemies will have a fair bit of fight in them,
despite being unable to run in a straight line, and occasionally
stumbling on their own feet. You may also hear them, in quieter times,
grumbling about "kids these days" and playing chess in public places.

That explains the walk.

Quite funny!
HL1 has less problems playing then HL2. Once in awhile I have to use
"ai_diable 0" to get the sluggards moving.
HL2 is giving me more problems..seemed to hit a wall in part of the
game where the buggers won't move again.
