Hello everybody.
Two days ago I was in a Blockbuster shop and I saw Half Life Christmas 2006
edition at 9,90 euro for pc.
I didn't wait a second and I bought it.
Unfortunately I forgot everything about steam code and all the boring stuff
I knew 3 years ago. So I didn't watch for the steam code on the box of the
dvd. And there isn't any code on the box!
I can return the game to Blockbuster and they give me my money back, but I
prefer to have this dvd, especially for Half Life Source.
So, my question is: is there any program or code I can use to play it? I'm
not interested in on-line game (I haven't time for this even this is very
funny).
I have tried some steam code downloaded by emule but they don't seem right.
Thank you for the answers.
Bye.

There's a key somewhere, on a CD sleeve flap, for instance? Its there,
you just have to find it.

Mine is smack dab on the front of the DVD case.  They don't put serial
numbers on the outside packaging, duh.

Ok, thank you guys. The front side of the dvd is green with the three images
of the three games and, unfortunately, the only thing close to a code is
something like VAI0770xxxxxx, where "x" are numbers and letters but it
doesn't seem to work. It's both up on the front dvd, very small, and on the
rear cover of the box. But the code I need is 20 letters/numbers.
I'm going to Blockbuster to return this game and probably I'll follow the
advice of PiG$$ to don't buy another used game that requires registration
code.
Thank you.
Bye.

By "steam code" do you mean the CD-Key/activation code?
If it didn't come with the game, return it.  This is why I never
buy second-hand games that require CD-Keys.
