Where is the big sharky thing in HL2? I finished the game and no sign of
him.

There are a number of them in the original HL (at least 2 that I can
recall). Don't think there are any in HL2 though.

There's one in a cutscene (where you get "lost" in the matter transporter)
but I seem to recall that it has all its AI entries about who to attack and
so on, so it's just one of those things that never got as far as the final
build. In my opinion, it's one of the things we can blame on that dick who
stole the source code (along with the shitty ending and subsequent episodic
content).

Hi,

Ah, ok. Didn't remember that. Keep meaning to replay HL2 at some point.
Maybe now is the time :)

I don't rightly remember, but I think if you go swimming in the ocean
anytime during  the "coast" levels you meet up with "Mr. Toothy". That way
there is no escape on foot from the ant lions who wont go into the water.

Ah, good point. I did end up in the sea when I was learning to drive that
damn car! I remember dieing, but don't remember seeing what killed me. I
thought it was those pesky little wormy things that were in the original
HL water sections too...

You are correct.  The little wormy things got you.

I was getting confused, I thought that was WoW but in retrospect I
realize now it's both...

Nah, the invisible but noisy leeches get you.
