Natural selection's fps problems

Hi,

I would like to know if I'm the only one who have fps problems in the
new version of natural selection. In fact, the game generally shows
100fps but slows down to 15-20 fps when too much people have to be
displayed on the screen, or when there's a lot of light effects,
buildings like marine turrets etc...

My config :
Sempron 2800+ (perfectly detected by cpuz)
768 Mo DDR (perfectly detected by windows)
ati radeon 9600 pro 256Mo (400MHz - perfectly detected by catalyst
control center) (vertical sync disabled) - last drivers installed (it
doesn't work better with other drivers)
50Go free space
win 2000 professionnal
No spy or virus detected

I tried to modify cl_cmdrate, rate, dynamic lighting, particles and
other things like fps_modem, but nothing works. I have 0 choke and 0
loss. Classic hl game works perfectly and ns game worked perfectly
with older versions.

Does someone have the same problem? How can I fix it?

Thanks for advance

Fix it by upgrading your video card.  A Radeon 9600 is hopelessly outdated
for a game such as that, and just can't handle it.

Signature

"Ubuntu" -- an African word, meaning "Slackware is too hard for me".

I just D/Led natural Selection 3.2 under the impression that it had Single
player mode as well as online multiplayer.

I cannot find a Single player option! was I misinformed or am I missing
something obvious?

Maybe I missed a menu or something!

Thanks and best wishes, Rene Lamontagne

I guess I was misinformed, It does seem to be a Multiplayer only game.
