I would also like to see office, ideally to replace militia, port, train
or aztec. I'd like to see backalley as well, but I suspect that puts me
in a minority!

it would also put you on a different game, since cs_backalley hasn't
been converted to the source engine, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure I've played it on source... Wasn't aware it was no
longer official though
Maybe it was something like this: http://csm2.net/view_map.php?map_id=1264

Let's leave the so called custom maps until next time. At the moment
the updated map list now includes piransi and office.
I'll do a final head count on the maps Wednesday or Thursday and add /
subtract any maps. Civ: I'll remove maps when there are multiple
opinions. At the minute it's just me and you voicing opinions on the
other maps.

I don't like train much, but I can't even be sure I can make it, so my
opinion matters not...

I'd like to - if I can - touch upon the bash history and some decisions
we've come to collectively over the years. If you're an experienced
'basher' then you won't need to read this. However, if you're new to
the bash you'd be well served to give it a read.
That all said, this was written with future bashes in mind.
CS / CS:S History
-=============-
Not long after the release of CS AGHL booked servers but left them open
to the public to join. Unfortunately public players quickly found
exploits, work-arounds and out-right cheats. Since AGHL as a community
would not include cheaters the doors were closed and the server
protected.
Why?
-======-
The AGHL Bash was created to allow AGHL regulars to play on a server
where the game can be played as we suspect the creator of the game
intended.
Rushing?
-========-
Rushing is a generic term. However it does not mean "run"
Rushing (in as simple terms as I can possibly put it) means to ignore
your objective and go looking for kills. Rushing is discouraged in the
AGHL bash.
Remember, the AGHL Bash lasts about 2-5 hours. If you can't hold of
rushing in to an area heavily outnumbered enemy for 3 hours of your CS
playing day then you have issues!
How can I help?
-===========-
Follow your objective, play as a team and be nice. In time you can come
to help admin the server or perhaps just help with the arrangements.
Do we need rules?
-============-
Evidently we do. However they're not often enforced and won't be come
Friday. Generally they're ignored as most AGHL play the way the game
should be.
I have a question!
-============-
Fine. Post it here or e-mail me geordiekid at gmail.com
If anyone would care to expand on this feel free. I'm off to get
stoned.
Cheers

I spread the word to drum up some more players from the Phat guys.
Don't worry about it being a "versus" thing. We never play as a team
with each other as at LAN parties all we ever do is fight against each
other. :-)

Oh it wasn't directed at your guys. I know you'll keep them in checked.
Besides I played against a lot of the phat guys before. I think they
may remember me too >:-)
I just e-mailed you the final details, just as a final check. If it's
all good I'll see you at 10pm
To everyone else: If you have last minute difficulties then you will be
able to reach me on my steam address as I'll most likely be in game.
It's: rozin-online@blueyonder.co.uk
Valve *really* should let me change that.
P.S Medival Total War: = Teh phun!
Peace my friends

It was a reminder for newcomers, as I was at the last bash. It's not as
regimented as a clan match, nor is it the "free for all" of a public server,
but somewhere inbetween. Warning the bash noobs that some degree of teamwork
is expected is a good thing, IMO.

Seen that but it wanted to register to download.
Found it here for easier...

We can up it to the server for sh.ts and giggles... more work for my
admin lackey. :-)
If we play it then you can get it from server.

Ok, quick explanation.
Load steam: Steam doesn't work
Try different things: Doesnt work
Reinstall Steam: Spend several hours downloading.
Sorry lads. I hope you enjoyed it. Hopefully we can play the next
weekend. The more often it is the more likely we'll draw a crowd :)

Unlucky with steam.

Hey Jethro,
Want to arrange another one for next weekend. CS:S should be updated
by then. I'm in a bit of a transitional period. I might be living
somewhere else by the weekend so again I wouldn't be surprised if I
cant make it but I'll do my best.

Sure no problem.. I assume. I'll drop a note to server owner. Server is
always up and running so anytime.
