They give it for this weekend (more exactly, until Tue 26 Dec) for
free.

I installed the game and found it uninteresting. I would not take it
even if it was for free.

Maybe, there is something interesting in it which I am missing, and
maybe someone will tell me ?

It is a matter of personal taste. I found it interesting, but I
hesitate buying the game standalone.

You can get a better result by reading the official forums. Try
looking for threads concerning "stories" about The Ship.

The true fun in the game involves the paranoia of other players. Since
they don't know their hunter, they generally look around in almost a
panicky state wondering who is following them.
