Anybody seen this movie?

There's a thread on IMDB saying it's very reminiscent of Half-Life 2.
The near future setting still somewhat recognisable of today but ravaged
by decay and urban warfare from some major catastrophe.

Only seen the trailer myself so can't really confirm.

Anybody else seen it.  Worth a look?

Seen it.  Very good film, nothing at all like HL2.

Not yet. It's on my too watch list.

I just scanned through it and parts of it have a very definite HL2 feel,
plus there's the whole sterility thing going on too. Looks quite intriguing,
I'll have to give it a proper watch sometime.

Please don't go and see it because it might possibly bear some passing
resemblance to the environment of a computer game (IMO it doesn't, but it's
irrelevant anyway).  That's hardly a useful criterion for deciding whether
you'll enjoy a movie.  It's an excellent intelligently-made science-fiction film
that deserves to be seen on its own merits.

Having heard the synopsis for the film just before its release, and
nothing more (Unfortunately the one and only cinema in Stafford didn't
show it :( ), I can't really see how it can be compared to HL2, except
for the idea of a dwindling global population.   But if that were
grounds for a comparison to HL2, then I could probably write a list as
long as my arm of films which are "similar to HL2" :-)

Anyway, it still sounds like an interesting film, hopefully I'll be able
to pick it up on DVD for rental sometime - all my usual sources of
reliable film critique have said good things about it so far (including
yourself, Paul :D )

I enjoyed it. I did see some specific scenes that were reminiscent of
HL2 (particularly the initial chapter of the game), but I'm not sure I
would have drawn the connection to HL2 had I not seen it suggested
before seeing the film.

One of the best films i've seen this year, although i wouldn't say HL2
has anything to do with it, apart from people shooting : /

Very easily one of the greatest cinema experiences i've had this year,
intense action, a good story with a lot of heart..
the parts reminiscent of HL2 were the decay of Bexhill-on-sea.. people in
cages, the general civil protection and big brother culture..
there was also a fantastic perceived "single" steadycam shot which follows
clive owen through a firefight for about 2 minutes..
it's wonderful!

watch it!!
