Having heard the synopsis for the film just before its release, and
nothing more (Unfortunately the one and only cinema in Stafford didn't
show it :( ), I can't really see how it can be compared to HL2, except
for the idea of a dwindling global population. But if that were
grounds for a comparison to HL2, then I could probably write a list as
long as my arm of films which are "similar to HL2" :-)
Anyway, it still sounds like an interesting film, hopefully I'll be able
to pick it up on DVD for rental sometime - all my usual sources of
reliable film critique have said good things about it so far (including
yourself, Paul :D )

I enjoyed it. I did see some specific scenes that were reminiscent of
HL2 (particularly the initial chapter of the game), but I'm not sure I
would have drawn the connection to HL2 had I not seen it suggested
before seeing the film.
