You can't really compare them, TF is multiplayer only, the focus of TF
is capture-the-flag oriented teamplay.

More likely what's brought him in is the 8+ years in which most people
have been waiting for TF2 to actually appear :)

How about the fact that if Episode 2 costs as much as Ep 1 ($17.99),
includes TF2 and Portals, that it's just too good of a deal to pass up.
I think TF2 looks stylistic and fun, it's a change of pace from standard
design for this genre. I like it.
If Episode 2 all by itself cost, say $30, I'd still buy it. If it's
less than that and includes other fun stuff, that's good value for my
entertainment dollar.

$17.99? Where are you getting that figure? Deep discounts after being
out for 3 years? Originally HL2 went for $49.99 I believe.

Episode One (already released) and Episode Two (sometime in '07) are
stand-alone additions to the HL2 story. EP1 is currently available at
steampowered.com for $19.95. He's saying that if EP2 is the same price
as EP1, plus includes Team Fortress 2 and Portals, then it is too good a
bargain to pass up. I happen to agree with him and I think you're
confused about what EP1 and EP2 are.

Yes, some of us had so much fun playing TFC!
I like that it does not take itself seriously - I am tired of the "lets
make it
so realistic" approach, in the end everything looks the same and feels the
same.
I just want to play the pain-in-the-ass-medic again!
