In Half-life2 and HL2 EP1 you spent a lot of time assisted
by Alyx. It seems in EP2 you get a lot of help from the
Vortiguns. They have some cool moves too.

Enjoy.

Holy sh.t. I've just watched the others. In No 5 there is a
great scene with a Strider involving a house. I'll say no
more...

Man that's some intense gameplay.  All of those are on Steam now.

Additionally, after watching the TF2 trailer; if that comes with Episode
2, well... they can have my money right now.

Ep2 comes with TF2 and Portals.

Tell me why you want TF2 so much ? I have watched the trailer; the
gameplay is simpler and less immersive than that of HL2. TF2 is just an
ironic first-person shooter; it is unusual and that's what probably
bought you in. I personally appear not to be interested in TF2....

You can't really compare them, TF is multiplayer only, the focus of TF
is capture-the-flag oriented teamplay.

More likely what's brought him in is the 8+ years in which most people
have been waiting for TF2 to actually appear :)

How about the fact that if Episode 2 costs as much as Ep 1 ($17.99),
includes TF2 and Portals, that it's just too good of a deal to pass up.
I think TF2 looks stylistic and fun, it's a change of pace from standard
design for this genre.  I like it.
If Episode 2 all by itself cost, say $30, I'd still buy it.  If it's
less than that and includes other fun stuff, that's good value for my
entertainment dollar.

$17.99? Where are you getting that figure? Deep discounts after being
out for 3 years? Originally HL2 went for $49.99 I believe.

Episode One (already released) and Episode Two (sometime in '07) are
stand-alone additions to the HL2 story.  EP1 is currently available at
steampowered.com for $19.95.  He's saying that if EP2 is the same price
as EP1, plus includes Team Fortress 2 and Portals, then it is too good a
bargain to pass up.  I happen to agree with him and I think you're
confused about what EP1 and EP2 are.

Yes, some of us had so much fun playing TFC!

I like that it does not take itself seriously - I am tired of the "lets
make it
so realistic" approach, in the end everything looks the same and feels the
same.

I just want to play the pain-in-the-ass-medic again!

It's all about gameplay
Most played games is pacman and tetris!

LOL - It sure looks like it'll beat the hell out of everything I have
seen up till now

One caveat though
I will NOT be able to play this beauty on my laptop - arghhhh!!

Ok back to coding again (Mum - please, need more money)

Steam Update News says Q1 of 2007, which is way too long for me.

I would be thankful if it does come out then but the likelihood is that
it will be it coming out in Q4 of 2007 just in time for the Xmas rush!
