How To Negotiate With Terrorists

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of a line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker introduces himself. The terrorist kills
him.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker asks, "why did you kill my friend?" The
terrorist kills him and rapes his wife.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker says, "Stop that!" The terrorist kills
him, rapes his daughter and kills his wife.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker says, "I'll pay you $1000 if you stop
attacking us." The terrorist agrees to the deal, takes the $1000, and kills him.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker appeals to the United Nations. The United
Nations says the peacemaker is at fault. The terrorist kills him.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker now has a gun, and threatens to use it.
Other peacemakers start chanting the old 60's whine, "Can't we all just get
along?" The peacemaker hesitates. The terrorist kills him.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker tries to convince his peacemaker friends
that the terrorists aren't going to respond to negotiations, but they insist
that if he kills the terrorist it'll just make the other terrorists mad. The
peacemaker reluctantly agrees to try negotiating again. The terrorist kills
him., his entire family, and his neighbor's family.

A heated debate now ensues between the peacemakers who want to be nice to the
terrorists and the peacemakers who believe that there can never be peace until
the terrorists are all dead. While they are debating, the terrorists kill 15
more peacemakers.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker asks himself, "Which is more important:
being liked by everyone, or protecting my family?" The terrorist pulls a knife
to kill the peacemaker, but the peacemaker pulls a gun and kills the terrorist
first. The United Nations condemns the peacemaker's use of unproportional force.
Many of his peacemaker friends turn against him.

A peacemaker walks up to the left side of the line. A terrorist walks up to the
right side of the line. The peacemaker apologizes for what his friend did to the
other terrorist. The terrorist kills him, his entire family and his neighbors,
and threatens to destroy the city as soon as they develop a bigger weapon.

A peacemaker refuses to meet at the line because every time a peacemaker goes to
the line the terrorist kills him. A terrorist walks up to the right side of the
line and fires rockets into the peacemaker's town. The United Nations condemns
the way the peacemaker provoked the terrorist by refusing to come to the line
and meet with him.

Generations pass and not much changes until one day when the son of a peacemaker
decides that the old strategy simply won't work. He walks up to the left side of
the line a little early. As the terrorist approaches the right side of the line
the peacemaker shoots him. Another terrorist approaches to replace the first,
and the peacemaker shoots him too. This scene plays out several more times. Then
a terrorist approaches carrying a white flag, but he also has weapons. The
peacemaker shoots him. A terrorist next approaches with a ceasefire resolution
from the U.N. The peacemaker shoots him also. A large group of terrorists
approach and the peacemaker shoots them all and drops a nuclear bomb on the city
they came from. The peacemaker continues killing the terrorists until the
terrorists are all dead.

There is finally peace on earth and the United Nations takes the credit.

(No peacemakers or terrorists were harmed during the writing of this blog.)

The 30% or so of America who continue to support this
walking catastrophe called George W. Bush, and who
continue to thank him for taking dumps directly on their
faces better not get in the way of what the other 70%
of America is about to do this November.

With any luck Bush will become the first U.S. president
to be impeached, tried and executed for war crimes.

Black and white: "You're either with us, or you're with the
terrorists."

Black and white mentality is the entire problem with those
who now reside in the White House, and with the machine
that powers them.  It's the problem with the 30% of
America who continue to support a federal government
which has, for the last five years, been taking a continuous
dump directly into their mouths.

And as for a world view, every day I thank God we still
have a world at all.

Same here, but in Bush's case I've been searching for some
semblance of conscience or redeeming value in the man for
5+ years now and have found none.  Not even a trace.  Just
when you think you've finally reached the bottom of his evil
there's another even more evil layer underneath it.

I sincerely believe the guy will nuke the world before he'll
admit he's a raging incompetent.

Don't confuse 'blame America' with 'blame Bush'. ;) America is 300 million
people, Bush is one man. And a politician. Personally I find there isn't a
single politician that isn't a greedy, posturing, lying megalomaniac who'd
sacrifice the lives of millions for a personal agenda. Not one, on this
entire planet.

Mah heart is full of pity fer ya... It must be hell to go through life with such

Well, my view is, that since being a politician is a career just like any
other, you must be one because you *want* to be one. And why would someone
want to be a politician? I mean, you've got the expectations of millions on
your shoulders, endless bureaucracy and the hatred of half the voting
populace.
So why would you want to be one? Money and power. It's as simple as that. ;)

That works <g> I tend to have a similar attitude. You've got to laugh,
haven't you? ;)

Although if being a liberal means believing that a single innocent life or a
single freedom taken away is too high a price to pay for what a government
considers 'security', I'm proud to be one. :D

If you ever watch David Letterman, he always has clips from Bush that sound
like he's a complete and total idiot. Pretty funny. Well not so funny
because he's the supposed "leader of the free world".  Ok, yeah, Clinton was
boinking a fat chic, at least he could speak clearly and concise, and make
decisions that wouldn't f.ck us over royally. I'm not partisan in any way,
but I fear for the future of our country, and for the world, the longer that
Bush stays in office. 2008 can't come soon enough!
