Ok, so cheating is...well, cheating; but there are times I want to get through an annoying part of the map, or want to put on no-clip and explore. I figured out how to turn on cheats in regular HL 2 and Ep. 1 by editing the desktop shortcuts to add the console options, same as in orginal HL, easy. But how can I activate the console in addons (Lost Coast, for example) which don't install with desktop shortcuts, and insist on running from the Steam menu? Two options create a desktop from within Steam are create one yourself :) Another option is to add additional startup parameters to your game/mod entry in Steam Startup parameters is more or less like in HL Link to a Google search :) http://www.google.com/search?q=HL2+commandline&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en -US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8 - Peter  SignatureHi! Just enable the console in LC's setup options (Video/Advanced), then start LC, go into the console and enter 'sv_cheats 1'. From within the game, without titting about with shortcuts, can't you do something like: Options > Keyboard > Advanced > Enable Developer console Oiche maith Shionnach, not often we see a gael in here! Are you the same person as your boards.ie namesake? I think you're question's already been answered, maybe we should stick it in the FAQ.
