Thanks I was just wondering which one would provide the easiest set-up for a
homebuild.
Big PSU - check
Water Cooling - check

Games do not need to be designed to use crossfire/sli. Direct X and the
device drivers take care of that.

I think its easier now that some models don`t need a controller card to work
in crossfire mode. SLI seems to be the most bug free version of 2 card
gaming and you could go to 4 gpu`s with nvidia too.

Like i said above, SLI seems to be pretty sorted and crossfire seems to be
much better now that ati have a new controller chip for motherboards. search
google for reviews of crossfire motherboards.

Yeah, having to mess with control-cards did seem like a potential
stumbling-block for me.
Four cards - now that is something to think/fantasize about.

If you were planning on buying/building an SLI set up all at once (rather
than buying one card now and a second one later) check out the new GeForce
7950 GX2. It puts 2 GPUs on a single card, saving space and money, over two
separate cards. Then you can dream about quad :-).
