I didn't think to save the game, and since the end guy kept
teleporting me (and I was cheating) I don't want to go to the trouble
of killing it again.

So what would have been the end if I didn't go through the teleporter?

I checked a dozen walk-throughs, and all they said was that there was
two endings.  So, I did a search on Google groups, and really didn't
find much of an explanation.

Well, you have a choice. But you discover that it's a choice in much
the same way that you have a choice of whether or not to pull your
parachute when sky-diving....

What's the etiquette on spoilers here?

No, it's not.
I invited it over for a barbeque and it drank all the beer, peed in
the pool, and punched my grandma.
