How To Get Halflife To Use Higher Refresh Rate.

How on earth do i get half-life1 to use a higher refresh rate,
it appears to be locked at 60hz which hurts my eye`s and
gives me headaches.Halflife 2 is fine.
My monitor(CRT) can do max 85hz
i have it set at 1024X768 85hz
video card is Geforce 6600GT latest drivers.

Anyone help please!

You could try a program to lock the refresh rate. Or it may
be related to the in game resolution you're running.

Check the dislaimer of the following program. It can hurt
your monitor.

You can try using the refresh rate override option in the nVidia driver
control panel.  You need to edit the registry adding or changing this
dword entry in order to enable it:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak

NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage = 0

Then set your refresh rates for 1024x768.  I don't know if this works
still, I have a DVI monitor, can only do 60 Hz.
