Houston, Tx.   And it doesn't look like snow for tomorrow as there was last
year.  Merry Christmas anyway!

We've got freaky weather out here on the left coast.  It's after 11:00
pm, near midnight and it's 62 degrees outside, t-shirt weather.  It's
late December, cloudy out so I put on a sweater and a heavy coat today.
I was drenched in sweat.  You look around and see all these people
dressed for winter, conditioned response regardless if it's appropriate
weather-wise.
Might drop down below 60 on Christmas day.  I'll probably be wearing
shorts and sandals.  We'll probably hang out on my sister's back deck.
Maybe have a barbecue.

Merry Christmas McG and everyone else.

Thanks and a Merry Christmas for all of you Steve!

of that... honey cured ham my youngest daughter baked was the best!  :)
Been a good day.

Merry Christmas from Coventry, Rhode Island.
Still some frozen snow on the ground here from over a week ago, but with 50
degrees (F) predicted for the 25th, we'll probably lose that.  No white
Christmas here.

It'l be a miracle it if snows in the UK, can't remember the last time it was
heavy at christmas time, or even light.

In Brum, UK, it snowed and lay on ground a couple of inches thick last Xmas
day evening.  Built a snowman.  Loved it.

Loved it even more when it all disappeared ready for hitting those motorways
for work a few days later....

It's snowed here in Saddleworth, North West UK for the last 3 years - even
if only light.

I'm going to have to go look for the video of me drowning my old Range Rover
in Saddleworth, now. If you have Google Earth, you can see the pond I dunked
it in by putting "53 34 57N 2 1 20W" (without the quotes) into the search
box.

I started to slide in at the point indicated, and couldn't see where I could
easily get out except at the northmost point of the pond, so I drove on with
no idea how deep it got. The water came almost over the bonnet, and went
into the engine. I almost made it out, but it sputtered and died with about
five feet to go. It's testament to Land Rover that, a week later, the thing
was running again, and the only lasting effect was a musty smell from the
carpets.

Bloody cold in Saddleworth though. It's not surprising it snows there when
it's raining everywhere else. So did it snow on Christmas Day?

Was suprised to read in the Guardian the other day that turkey was so
popular in the UK and how expensive it was..... In the US most stores
send out free turkey coupons if you're a steady customer or cost 39
cents a pound the rest of the year....

The Fodders are having:

An 18 pound turkey stuffed with oyster dressing
Mashed potatoes
Gibblet gravy
Whole cranberry sauce
Baby green peas with mushrooms
Sweet potatoes with marshmallow sauce (yuk)
Homemade yeast rolls
Lady Fodders famous Pumpkin pie and blueberry pie

You can pick up factory-farmed birds cheaply in any supermarket. It's
the free-range and/or organic ones that cost more.

Merry Xmas to the Fodder household, free-range or not :)
