Spend 2 days getting a valid patch file - most was corrupt
Spend 1 day patching, uninstalling, installing, patching, uninstalling,
installing
Searching using Google

Finally moved the program to another location, cleaned up in between
And finally got the latest 1.12 patch to work

I hate these freaking patching systems where you neeed to get the files off
the internet

Yep, I can't even even play the damn game as the kid is all over his
computer again - arghhhh
