Game Forum / Action Games / Half Life / September 2005I am soooo impressed with Steam re: preordered DoD
So I decided to bite the bullet and preorder DoD:S. I already have it precached (or whatever they call it) on my system, but I wasn't going to be able to play it anyway. So I go to purchase it through Steam, everything is going well. I enter my name, credit card, etc. It gets to the very end and it hangs up on a status bar for awhile and then Steam pops up about 10 of the same window and then crashes from a memory access violation! How can Valve be so retarded? I was trying to give them money and somehow they get a memory access violation error submitting my credit card data to their server? You'd think that would be the most robust part of their program. That really happened to you? What an amazing story! Be sure to tell that one to all your mates in the bar.
