I want to see Valve make a fourth-person shooter. Instead of playing
as gordon himself, or even the guy with the camera following gordon,
you play as the guy with the camera following the guy with the camera
who's following gordon. That would be awesome. Plus, it's a little
less dangerous.

If I give you a postal address, could you please ship me some of the
drugs you are on.  That would be awesome.  Kk thanks :-)

Nah, still too exciting for me. Why not play the guy with the camera
seated high up on one of the walls of the canal system, who's job is to
get some good footage of Freeman as he blasts past, plus a load of
local eyewitness interviews after the event.

Then, no matter how bad your footage, it gets analysed for the next
forty years by people trying to prove there was more than a lone
trooper firing at Gordon as he passed...

I was attending 2nd grade in Dallas when it happened and it was really
creepy when the principal came in the class and announced the
assassination. I then watched Oswald get shot by Ruby on live TV that
weekend.. Stuck with me, it was the first person I ever saw get killed
in reality.

Back to the actual topic, I think it should be like the Google map thing
where you can zoom in to anywhere and see anything happening live.

Uh, why do I think that is way too much like several Sci-fi stories I've
read or Sci-fi movies I've seen? All with bad, bad motives with regard
to the "watchers".

Oh, I dunno... Macroscope seemed fairly benign.

how about being the priest.  find the parts to construct the traps.  Find a
gun to throw to freeman.  Meet him at various points and help him through.

In this scenario you would get shot to put you out of your misery

Hey, what a great idea, except that it would then be a first person
perspective again.

Here's how it works:

First person perspective: I do this, I do that.
Second person perspective: You do this, you do that.
Third person perspective: He/She/It does this or that
Fourth person perspective: doesn't exist

Fourth person perspective: You get a mate of a mate to ask if he knows
anyone who can do it.

Well that's it for me then, I haven't got any mates.
