I'd like to play HL again (while I wait for HL2) and to
spice it up I'd like the high definition pack that comes with
Blue Shift - is there any way I can get hold of that with buying Blueshift?

With buying blue shift... yes... WithOUT buying blue shift (Which i
assume is what you meant), then no.

Try wearing 3-D glasses for low budget *enhanced* graphics.

or buy blueshift.
