account not found.

I have a second Steam account that I use on my server and I can connect
there. So, that account name is good... My HL2 account is "missing"....

It could be worth it to delete the clientregistry.blob file in the steam
directory.
In some cases these kind of problems solves when Steam is forced to renew
this file.
You will get a new one when Steam updates again.
Remember to restart Steam.....

Someone in c.s.i.p.g.a has managed to get in by creating another account
but still cannot get in on the old account.  Curioser and curioser.

I suspect that Valve is reconsidering it's fine anti-pirate system.

On the hardfought forums apparently there is information indicating that
0:1: account servers are down, these people are out of luck except the
ones who were logged-in when the servers went down.  If they disconnect
they will not be able to reconnect.  Players with 0:0: accounts can log
on and off as normal.

0:1: Steam IDs will have to wait until the servers come online again,
before that happens there is nothing you can do. HTH

although steam server status says everything is fine.

Still down here in Connecticut. Same message as post above.
iamalanchan@gmail.com - 30 Jan 2005 04:20 GMT
It's also down in Hong Kong as well......same message as above...

I tried switching three different internet connection provider, the
result is the same.
It's obviously a steam problem.
Marcin - 30 Jan 2005 09:19 GMT
