I bought the retail version of HL2 and registered it and everything,
which I imagine would be the equivalent of the "Bronze version" of the
game.

But when it comes to the purchase options on Steam it says I have to
buy the whole Silver package to by HL1 Source.

That's f.cking lame.

If those arseholes would sell it to me for $10 (especially with the
plummeting US dollar) I might be stupid enough to buy it, even though
I'd probably regret it considering I played HL1 a million times and
the Source version would be no different.

Maybe Valve is being kind by saving me and other people who bought
retail from wasting our money on HL1 Source...

Valve Roxors!!!
