GFX Cards for HL2 review?

I'd imagine someone will do a GFX suitability for HL2 review, but has
anyone seen one?

I figure that since HL2 has been delayed because of the leak, chances
are that a top-notch card isn't needed. Not unless they've increased
the detail since then, and one would doubt it. So essentially I'd be
looking for a guide as to what's the minimum that will run it fine,
rather than a comparision of all the fastest and most expensive cards.

The card costs 4 times as much as my whole PC. I hope it really is good
enough.
<cough cough>

PC

And I still remember my first computer upgrade. In 1983 I upgraded the ram
on my Trs-80 from 4 to a whopping 16 K . It took 3 weeks of research and $60
worth of parts, but it was well worth it at the time. My second upgrade
involved hooking it up to a tape recorder...

well, you can't get HL2 on that machine.

For the third upgrade,  I fastened the Trs-80 to a chain, filled it with
cement, and used it as a boat anchor. After buying a real PC, of course.

I thought the Tandy 1000a made a decent doorstop (after building my 1st
real clone peecee) until everyone started stubbing their toes on it.  I
couldn't even give it away and it stay gone!  The dumpster at work liked
it well enough tho :)
