.... ok, I know that there a female game players (like my two teenagers) but
they would be the first to agree with me that 'most' females do not
understand gamers. True story. Had friends around tonight. Talking about
HL2 and saying it was out on 16th November when the lady wife pipes up
"Fantastic - I was wondering what to get you for your birthday. I'll get
that and put it up for you until the 9th December"...!!!? S'true! Then she
wondered why I nearly choked in my ale and didnt seem very grateful! Cant
live with em...... etc. Shaun

Thankyou. I'm working on convincing her it's not really a suitable birthday
present. Why cant she buy me a shirt with a garish tie or socks like she
normally does when I WANT a game? :-)

You'll just have to gently let her know that HL2 is THE game that shall
be bought AND played as soon as it's absolutely possible! 16
November!!!!! We're ALL counting on YOU to participate :)
See, that was easy ;)

I feel for you. My wife has learned not to buy me games for my birthday.
Because if it is a game I want, I will buy it NOW! She didn't quite
understand at first either, until there was a new novel she really wanted,
and I bought that for her for Christmas sometime in November, and she was
all pissed that I wouldn't give it to her ahead of time. Sometimes it takes
a swing with a 2x4 upside the head to make women understand.

You must be the last person who hasn't killfiled it, yet. Please do so, and
turn the lights out in the killfile when you're finished, k? Thanks.
