Namely there will be multiple preloads and that the data is not compressed on my PC. By this I can get a good indication as to when Half-life2 will be released. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to roughly how big a Half-life2 install will be? As previously stated FarCry is approximately 3.5gb of information so we can only assume it's in excess of that.
