One guy registers just so that he can say 'thank you, Valve' (yeah coz they're only releasing the game to get our gratitude) but then it becomes clear that the guy has no clue (like me) what 'going gold' means..."Uh, does that mean the game will be released soon?" In fact,here's his post - c&pd: I just registered so I could say, thank you valve :D also does this mean that Steam users get HL2 this monday? or dowe have to wait also? The way id made Doom3 was just begging for half the FPS community to dislike it. But if Valve has taken all of this hu- mongous amount of time they've had (6 years!) to perfect a game full of new and innovative gameplay and really interesting content and design- to complement the pretty graphics and physics and all that... then I think it will be pretty hard for the few perpetually disgruntled gadfly's to get much of a foothold on it :-) -Marshall Mark proclaimed... > __what a divot.
